What Does the following X-ray Indicate?

Hi there, to give a brief history: I am a 25 year old female with chronic low back pain (about 10 years) and intermittent periods of joint pain and muscle spasms (mainly associated with the neck, back, and hips). I have tried many different treatments and medications over the years. I recently have been seeing a registered massage therapist who upon examining my back during a treatment requested a lumbosacral xray. The results are as follows "there is a 2.0mm anterolisthesis (spondylolisthesis) of L5 on L4. THere is loss of intervertebral height posteriorly L4-L5. Normal bone density, normal sacroiliac joint. No spondylolysis." I am wondering what the next step is for treatment for this? Thank you!

Hello

Your X-ray findings suggests 2.0 mm anterolisthesis (anterior movement of vertebra)of L5 on L4.
You may need MRI of L/S spine. It is important to evaluate disc prolapse, nerve root compresssion, central canal narrowing etc.
You may need clinical correction and few blood tests.
Blood tests include routine hemogram, random blood sugar, liver and renal function test, urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen, serum calcium and vitamin D level, thyroid profile,RA factor,anti-ds DNA etc.
It is also important to assess arthritis because it may present as same type of symptoms.

Proper treatment depend upon clinical findings and investigation reports.

Get well soon.
Take Care
